A good fansite for VMK fans is VMKForums which is brought to you by the same N’ick that brings ToontownCentral to the net, which is also listed here on myfansites. The site seems to be going through some growing pains, and you cannot immediately post after registration, but it does have a wealth of information when it comes to VMK. Enjoy!

Every site that players join outside of VMK should be a place where they feel comfortable and a place where some of their friends are regular members. I have joined a number of sites (not all of them listed) just to make it easy for members to contact me if they want to outside of the game. I really only visit a handful of these sites on a regular basis.
The good thing as you mentioned about VMK Forums is the size. You have alot of members which also means a lot of resources at your fingertips. The size also brings about those growing pains that you mentioned and more controls. Of course these are needed for the protection and safety of members.
Smaller sites are generally started by close friends who have their own style of communicating and want others to experience “the difference”. Of course these bring about very creative site designs, resources and tools for the players of VMK. I actually came across a very nice site today that had very creative logos, buttons and links.
VMK Forums is the largest player site (as far as I can tell) and the owner continues to expand and offer more resources to the members. Including new site for the “beta” testers of POTC, which I personally was excited to join and connect to other players.
Nick has a wonderful team and I wish him the best of luck in his endeavors.
